Barb St. Pierre and her sister started Trillium fitness in 1999. When they opened the business, they had three competitors in their service area.

They were an immediate success and experienced some good times. The business grew its record high of $959,000 in sales in 2013.
The market for fitness programs in Syracuse, NY, was growing rapidly, and that meant more big chain competitors with huge marketing budgets opening nearby.
While the fitness industry was growing at an average rate of 7% growth, Trillium was going in the opposite direction and losing market share, every year for the next five years in a row. Barb became the sole owner and sales plummeted to an all-time low of $578,000 in 2018.
Like most small businesses, Barb had a lot on the line. This was her “baby,” her dream, and at times it felt more like a burden, or even a nightmare.
To describe the years between 2013 and 2018 as frustrating is an understatement. Every payroll was a challenge, both financially and emotionally.
It was a scary time, human nature is such that people often only act when things get so bad, they must do something or else go out of business. Business owners must decide to continue as is or move boldly in a new direction.
Barb did what successful business owners do and sought help.
She chose the 6 Figure Trainers program because of the depth of experience Ron brought to the table.

Like all small business owners facing change, her first challenge was a deep dive into looking at herself and getting out of her comfort zone.
Slowly things began to change, and the momentum picked up despite yet another big-box competitor opening right down the street.
As 2019 ended, Barb, with direction and guidance from the 6 Figure Trainer Program, had led Trillium’s turn around and increased revenue by $46,000.
This was the first time revenue increased in 5 years and the growth of 8.5% was well ahead of the industry standard.
Most significantly, Barb has positioned her business for explosive growth in 2020! As important as the financial growth for 2019, sustainable new systems were created and implemented to provide the foundation for future growth into 2020 and beyond.
Congratulations to Barb and her team on a job well done!
