Happy Monday morning!
Did you know that Monday is the best sales day of the week?
This is my 18th day on the road helping fitness businesses grow and, in a few hours, I will be leading a sales training meeting for one of my VIP clients.
We are bringing the entire sales team together to fine tune their sales process.
At the end of the day everyone will be on the same page and armed with proven sales strategies and skills to demystify the sales process and be more effective and confident in working with prospects.
Our completed sales plan will be a hard-copy document where everyone is a stakeholder.
On a personal note, as the President of a Fitness Center one year in May, I faced a desperate challenge of needing $50,000 to get through the summer months looming ahead.
We pulled a team together and in a few short weeks we had generated the 50K. I vividly remember the incredible feeling of relief as the hot months of summer rolled around.
Here are the elements of the plan we will be creating later today.
- What is “sales” and the sales process, really?
- How to create a surge of new business without new or additional investments in expensive advertising and marketing.
- What are the best days and times of the day to sell, and why?
- How to use soft skills to recognizable personality characteristics and fully understand, appreciate and relate to where the prospect is coming from.
- How to present fitness programs so prospects don’t feel they are being “sold.”
- How to structure the conversation so the prospect is in total control of the buying decision. (People don’t like to be sold, but they love, and want to buy.)
- How to structure the sales process to include an experience, like test driving a new car.
- How to create and implement a rock-solid follow-up and follow through plan that separates your team, by light years, from the competition.
- How the sales team can work together as a smooth, efficient, enthusiastic and coordinated team of professionals that works, grows and celebrates together.
These are the minimal elements of a sales plan for any fitness business, of any size.
Using these topics as a starting point for your sales plan, regardless of the size of your fitness business. Having a written plan is critical whether you have a one-person operation or a huge team of people.
