I am back home after my 90-day road trip.
Yes, I was on the road for three months, to the day.
This was the longest trip I have had away from home. It was a combination of business, recreation and family time. And yes, it was 15,000+ miles on my trusty BMW motorcycle.
Truth is that I am still processing everything, but one of my first thoughts is how much I have enjoyed meeting and talking with gym owners along the way. More on that later.
Today I want to talk about something very relevant and timely. This is especially timely as we enter the final 20% of the calendar year. For the fitness professional this is a very busy time and a very important time.
Not only do we have to take care of the influx of new clients, but in doing so we also set up the first half of next year.
In short, now is the time to refine our systems, especially our marketing, so we are prepared to take advantage of the energy coming our way in January.
I have coached VIP clients through the 6 Figure Trainers programs at this time of the year, to the tune of adding over $40,000 to their bottom line. For most gyms, that is a very significant number.
How would it change your business?
The first step to success like this is the same first step in returning from an extended road trip, knowing what to focus on.
The nice part about being away is a new clarity when you walk through the doors after being away. Then all the little details begin to pile up.
The solution is to make a list of what needs to be done. Then comes the hard part, refining the list to sift out the important items and focusing on them first.
In the end, we usually get caught up trying to figure out what’s important, while realizing what’s urgent and feeling pulled to attend to those things first.
Interestingly, the important is almost never urgent and the urgent is almost never important.
Now that can mess with your head. It did with me for a long time
Some time ago I put this short video together to help to gain clarity on The Important vs.The Urgent.
Is it time to have a short conversation to sort out the important and how to build a very successful fitness business?
You only get results if you take action on your ideas. Do it now!
