The world lost a great leader yesterday, Jack Welch, the former Chairman and CEO of GE.
I never personally met the man but I was a huge fan of his.
I always liked one of his descriptions of leadership, “Leadership is following one step ahead.”
Has there ever been a time more important to lead than right now?
If we get too far ahead of people they can’t relate to us. As they grow and understand, we need to keep moving ahead also.
So much has happened in the last two months! On December 30, 2019, Dr. Li Wenliang, the Doctor first exposing the dangers of the coronavirus was confronted by the Chinese Police for, “making false comments that had severely disturbed the social order.” His ideas, and his colleagues supporting conclusions, were met with violent opposition – just 64 days ago.
The gravity of the situation is settling in more each day and we are in for what some credible authorities are beginning to describe as a pandemic.
We will all be significantly impacted one way or another.
Now is the time to make plans for your business. What will you do if your members and clients choose to stay at home?
How will you help them stay healthy and fit through the rough times ahead?
For starters, do you have an online version of your program people could follow at home in the short term? Would it make sense to get one together, just in case?
If you haven’t seen them already here are my last two posts with my recommendations on handling the coronavirus situation in your business, Part 1, Part 2.
What else can you do? The survival of your business may depend on your choices.
