It’s great to be back in Upstate NY with family for the summer.
This is the community where I honed my fitness business skills, and it’s very interesting to see what has stayed the same and what has changed.
Midtown Tennis is a major health club in Rochester. It’s part of a much larger corporation located in Chicago. The Rochester location has always been the corporation’s flagship operation.
Even though they are a huge operation, they do things right.
And right now, they are investing a lot of money expanding the club.
The local business paper had an interesting article about renovations the club is undergoing.
They are responding to the changing market and are anticipating some serious growth.
I found it very interesting that they are creating “boutiques” within the walls of the facility.
They want your business and they are betting large amounts of money that they will get it.
The boutique business has changed the fitness landscape, and for the better. Huge amounts of money are also being invested by venture capitalists in the fitness industry with the goal of making money in the (very) near future.
You need not worry. The huge advantage of the established boutique fitness business (YOU) is that, without a corporate organization to control you, you can move quickly.
Plan now for your growth explosion right after Labor day. Only 60 days away!
