The World’s Biggest Cheesecake

My home town in Upstate NY has more dairy cows than people.

Much of the milk goes into cream cheese production.

The town, Lowville, NY, hosts the Kraft plant that produces Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

The local plant once again hosted the Cream Cheese Festival. The Festival was cancelled the last two years because of the Pandemic.

Everyone turns out for this event, and the central attraction is an 1100 pound cheese cake.

Of course, everyone gets a piece of the cake.

Great marketing is about getting people out and talking about what you do.

Every day there are signs that life is returning to a new normal, and more importantly, people are getting more comfortable out in groups again.

What can we do in the fitness world to take advantage of this upswing from the pandemic?

We can do our own events like the festival.

Or, we can affiliate with other events.

For instance, I think it would be great to have a fitness booth at an event like the Cream Cheese Festival. With a little imagination, we could create a nice tie-in between eating cheesecake and staying fit. I’ve seen crazier things that have worked very well.

Think out of the box. Look around your community and tie in with something else, or create your own event.

Have fun with whatever you do and you’ll really like the results.

Remember: You only get results if you take action on your ideas. Do it now!
