A HUGE Change in the Fitness Industry

You were likely working with clients and members when this announcement was made.

Or maybe you were cleaning the bathrooms, writing a Facebook post, grabbing a quick bite to eat between coaching sessions, squeezing in a few calls to prospects, checking your financial statements for the month, or one of the other thousands of things that pull at you for your attention every day.

No worries. We have the announcement, and a lot more to share with you in our newly released Executive Report.

First, here is the announcement.

John Hancock will no longer offer traditional life insurance, instead only sell life insurance policies that track fitness and health data through wearables.

This is a huge change in that industry, with far-reaching repercussions. Research behind the decision exposes the logic used. No surprise to those of us in the fitness industry, people who exercise regularly are healthier and live longer than non-exercisers. They are a better risk.

What does it mean for you? Will it be a challenge in ways you can’t see yet, or an opportunity?

That all depends on a variety of factors that need to be considered. I’ll come back to that in a minute.

First, it is very likely that other insurance companies will come on board. Why wouldn’t they?

Second, people who exercise will look for providers who reward them for their healthy habits.

Third, and perhaps most significant is that other companies will use this interactivity, and highly motivated lists of names will full contact information, to reward the participants with special products and offers.

And when you understand the needs and desires of the emerging population trends, the participants will LOVE these offers and exclusivity.

Add this all up and this change becomes HUGE.

How do you prepare? What should you do now to take advantage of this?
