On The 7th Day of Christmas

I like to get out early in the morning and take a walk

This morning’s walk was in a rest are in the hill country of Texas. There were plenty of sidewalks, but I expanded my walk through some mowed grassy areas.

My little journey took me around the property and eventually back to the information boards.

There I noticed a sign telling everyone to stay on the sidewalks because there are snakes everywhere.

Made me wish I had read the signs first. In other words, started at the beginning.

This brings me to today’s challenge, #7 on our 12 Days of Christmas business challenge.

This one is fun. Go out and meet a neighbor.

Specifically, another small business owner in your service area. Preferably a business you can see from your front door, and you haven’t met the owner.

The tactic is very simple. Stop in and introduce yourself. Keep it very low-key. You are just there to introduce yourself.

Don’t stay long. If the opportunity to talk longer comes up, make an appointment to get a cup of coffee.

Don’t sell your business. Do wish the owner sincere holiday wishes.

Do offer to stay in contact.

That’s it!

See you tomorrow.
