Free Marketing Help You Must Politely Decline!

I am sure this scenario has happened to you, too.

A VIP client texted me to tell me her great news. One of her members wanted to help and asked to take over the marketing to get more business in the door.

The same week another VIP client on the other side of the country excitedly shared in our weekly mentoring session how his cousin was studying marketing in college and wanted to do all his marketing for him.

I asked my usual questions about who, what, when, where, and how. With each question major weaknesses were exposed.

My clients were new to the marketing game and frankly exhausted by the hours they were putting into their businesses. They were eager to get some help.

We explored the pros and cons of the offer to help.

In the first case above, the client had already invested several thousand dollars with the member for a social media campaign.

I asked about how they planned to track ROI and there was no plan.

That is marketing mistake #1. You must measure results.

If you are not getting a measurable return on your investment, it’s not working. Period. Likes and “brand awareness” do not pay the bills.

You do not need to spend money to get likes and brand awareness.

That comes from marketing locally, a topic I will talk about in the livestream tomorrow.

You do not need to spend money on marketing, and you should not, unless you have checked all the boxes off on my local marketing checklist, which I am releasing during the livestream tomorrow.

You don’t want to miss tomorrow’s Livestream. It’s full of tips and shortcuts to getting your marketing plans tuned up for the season to come.

During our session I will lay out a detailed and simple framework for you to follow to get light years ahead of the competition.

But first you need to register for the session here.

The livestream starts at noon on Thursday, August 8th, 12 noon EDT / 9 am PDT.

The link to the livestream will be emailed to you tomorrow morning, but you must register now to get the link tomorrow morning.

As for the second example above, the cousin was all excited and did some initial work, but the semester ended and that was the end of the cousin’s help.

With some preliminary work (which we are going over tomorrow) completed by the owner, they would have made a lot of progress.

Get registered for tomorrow’s livestream and be ready to take advantage of any marketing offers coming your way.

Remember, you only get results when you take action on your ideas!
