A New Twist On Black Friday Promotions

I was in a major box store yesterday to buy a power drill to replace one that had burned out.

I needed something a bit out of the ordinary. The drills I needed had to have a high torque value to accomplish the jobs I had in mind.

A drill with a high torque value is not your run-of-the-mill drill, and I went to the customer service desk in search of someone who could help me find a drill to meet my specifications.

To my surprise, I was greeted by a pleasant woman who had a very good understanding of what I was looking for.

She led me to the drill aisle and showed me a model that matched my criteria. It was on sale at 15% off the regular price.

Then she proceeded to tell me the holiday specials would be announced the next day – today. She encouraged me to wait and see what the holiday price would be.

It’s rare to find an employee this knowledgeable and helpful, and I was not in a hurry and I decided to wait the 24 hours. Her knowledge and helpful attitude convinced me!

She assured me that I could go online and see the new price. I didn’t even have to go to the store!

This morning I checked the website and found the price of my drill of choice had indeed changed.

It had gone up! No longer was the price yesterday’s 15% off.

It’s now full price!

The people that are the face of our business are critical to our success!

Too often the people hired to help us are woefully undertrained and less than motivated!

In the small business world, “no one sells like the owner,” is a common mantra, for a good reason.

But it does not have to be that way. In fact, it shouldn’t be that way.

We can multiply our successes by getting the right people in place on our team and training them to the high standards the owner lives by.

Someone coming to your gym wants to buy your product or service, but they are usually a bit uncertain.

They wonder if you really have the solutions they need for their pressing problem.

Doubt, uncertainty, and confusion on the face of your business, dampens their enthusiasm quickly and they retreat out the door.

Confidence, knowledge, and a pleasing smile do just the opposite by motivating the hesitant prospect to take the plunge (in their mind) and trust your organization,

The world needs and responds quickly to those with empathy, understanding, and knowledge.

Make a firm commitment to upgrading your team’s training and skills right now, and you’ll keep more of the people reaching out to you.

Get on my schedule and we’ll take 30 minutes to explore some possibilities, free to you!
