Could You Build A 6 Figure Income In A Town Full Of Strangers?

I have been riding my bike a lot on the Erie Canal towpath this summer.

Some days I meet a few people and then other days I meet almost no one.

Some people are friendly and others seem to have a sign attached to their helmet saying “stranger danger.”

Admittedly, riding on a gravel path is a relatively new experience for me as most of my training has been on paved roads dodging cars and dogs.

I have really enjoyed the change of scenery, and the ability to focus on people.

Undoubtedly, you are like me and very much a people person. I can’t imagine any other way since you are in a people business.

Back to the strangers I meet on the trail. As I mentioned, some are friendly and some are not so much.

I make a focused effort to engage with people on the trail and I have found most people will respond to a smile.

You can feel a barrier coming down to be replaced by a little bit of trust.

Marketing is all about getting people to trust and like you.

Until they are comfortable with you, they care little about your product service.

A recent VIP client closed his business and moved to a new city where he knew no one.

We immediately implemented some basic marketing tactics.

His first job was to meet people strategically, in the area he was opening his business, and become well-known.

People are only going to do business with those they know and respect.

Progress was slow at first and he did get discouraged from time to time.

We met frequently and focused on staying focused.

In a short time he had knocked it out of the park, moving well beyond a 6-figure income.

The tactics he used supported the strategy to become well known.

Anyone can use these same tactics and they actually work faster if you are looking to grow your existing business.

The tactics cost nothing.
