In the midst of doing a minor repair job on my truck yesterday, I cut my finger.
I’m not one to whine, usually, but this really hurt. And it still hurts today.
It’s difficult to use the keyboard, but I am determined to get this out to you despite my temporary pain. 🙂
I have been in the fitness business for several decades and I have seen a lot of changes.
For instance, I remember when bumper plates, lifting platforms, and squat racks were hard to find.
In fact, most gyms completely did away with them for “safety” reasons.
Then along came CrossFit with a written mission to change how the world worked out. (Don’t believe me, check it out.)
Say what you will about CrossFit, but they succeed in their mission.
More and more people are embracing the reality of strength training being far superior to only cardio.
More and more people are gravitating to include strength training in their workouts, and some have even made it their primary focus.
Enter big business. Nike just did and started a line of strength equipment. Check it out here.
This is a big and bold move for Nike. They would not have made this addition to their product line unless they saw a great opportunity here.
The times, they are a changin’!
