Does Your Marketing Push People Away?

In today’s 6 Figure Trainers open VIP Q&A, I answered the question: Which is better Facebook or Instagram advertising?

My answer boils down to it all depends, on what you probably want to know.

All marketing, free or paid, should be directed to where your ideal customer hangs out.

For instance, when I was training high-level CEOs they were not hanging out on any social media.

These were high-profile community leaders and being on social media was not in their interest.

As I went through my usual intake paperwork, they always declined to sign my media release and consistently asked me not to publish any pictures of them.

Of course, I agreed. At the price points they were paying me compared to every other trainer in the area, I actually didn’t need or want any more clients.

Marketing, especially in today’s world, needs to speak directly to your ideal customer and your less-than-ideal customer at the same time.

Good marketing attracts your ideal customer and repels the less than ideal.

Structuring your marketing like this will save you a lot of time and aggravation.
