Several things stand out about the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the event I never saw myself attending. The event I am so glad I attended.
Here’s what stood out:
- The barmaids
- The sheer number of people
- The size of the event
- The kindness of people
The first item, the barmaids were pretty much what I expected, based on what I had heard.
I am referring specifically, and only to the bar maids in the major venues. The outlying areas were much more traditional.
Their dress or rather degree of undress was interesting. I won’t be posting pictures, and I am not judging in any way.
I have spent a lifetime training people in scanty clothes, swimsuits, and workout gear.
What I will comment on is the barmaids would benefit from a bit more muscle tone. They were all very attractive and slim, but their look was a bit dated.
Muscle and definition look good on all bodies, male and female.
This might be a business opportunity for an entrepreneurial trainer/fitness business owner.
Here is the point of all this.
There are opportunities all around us for the services and programs we provide. I gave the example above, not in judgment or otherwise, but to get you observing and thinking.
As of this writing, pills alone and surgery will not add muscle and definition, to say nothing of confidence and improved self-image from structured workouts leading to better tone and muscle definition.
The fitness market has changed and will continue to change as our world moves forward.
A case in point is that male models couldn’t be too muscular in the 90s. The look didn’t sell then. Today, muscularity is necessary in the male modeling world.
The point of all of this is to be constantly looking for opportunities to grow your programs with your ideal clients.
Especially since the pandemic the market has experienced subtle, yet profound changes. Stay alert and think outside of tradition.
Remember, you only get results when you take immediate action on your ideas.
