The Tides have turned, but the winds have changed…

I talk to gym owners and fitness trainers all the time and one thing is for sure right now.

The fitness business is growing again!

This is a huge relief to the industry that was nightly regulated and constrained throughout 2020.

However, on an individual level, we face a huge problem, potentially more devastating than anything we have experienced in 2020.

I am referring to settling for less than we can be.

Returning our businesses to what they were before, while a necessary and admirable goal, is minuscule when compared to what we could create with our business in 2021.

Call me crazy for making a statement like this if you want, but why settle for what we had before, in the face of so much opportunity?

People are returning to fitness. In some locations rather slowly, and in other locations, quite quickly. It’s refreshing to see this happening and getting them back in the fold is certainly urgent.

Taking a business to a never-before attained level of success requires a balance between the urgent and the important.

Interestingly enough, the important is almost never urgent and the urgent is almost never important. Of course I am talking about taking purposeful action to get different and massive results.

The tides and winds of change are with us, but only if we pay attention to the important.

Take time every day, even if it’s only a few minutes, to work on the important. That discipline and those few minutes will change your life.
