Did you know this is National Fitness Month?
Technically, it’s National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
Why is this important?
First it bring awareness to the public and that’s worth a lot.
Just imagine being able to capitalize on the energy. The good news is that you can.
First make a big deal about it. Announce it in classes! Most people probably don’t know, because they are already doing the fitness thing, but they know people.
Second, schedule some special events to celebrate the event.
Specifically, how about a special event on National Fitness Day? This Saturday, May 7, 2022
Don’t fall into the trap of thinking it’s too late. Here are some ideas,
- Put the word out now and get people signed up.
- Encourage people to bring their friends.
- Hold it outside if the weather cooperates.
- Recruit a local celebrity to join you and make a big deal of it.
- Invite some local media to cover the event and you’ll get free exposure
- Have fun activities and event.
- Figure out a way to keep the energy going all month.
- Consider family inclusion.
- If you really can’t see it happening on the 7th, how about the next weekend?
