I had heard of drum circles by the campfire in the desert on the night of the full moon.
It seemed a bit woo-woo to me. 🙂 But a large number of my friends enthusiastically recommended attending the drum circle at Siesta Beach, so I was curious.
When the opportunity to attend a drum circle at dusk on a beach in Florida came up, I was ready.
The weather was very chilly for Florida and light attendance was expected. But I was surprised at the number of people braving the weather. Most were spectators but a few were performers and fewer still the musicians.
Clearly, everyone wanted to be there despite the cloudy, gray, damp weather.
People like to belong and be around other people. People like to have fun. These two reasons alone keep people coming back to events that check the boxes like the drum circle did.
One of the nine steps we teach in building out a marketing plan for a business is to create a world-class experience for your existing customers.
The simple logic is that it’s infinitely cheaper to keep an existing customer than to get a new one.
How do you create a world-class experience for your tribe and insure a low attrition rate?
It starts with the culture of the business. What the business stands for and how it goes about executing its mission is its culture.
Every business has a culture, whether or not the primary leader consciously created the culture. The business leader that ignores this reality and thinks culture will just happen is 100% correct. It does happen on its own and it usually is not pretty.
The wise leader that creates a culture that is fun, engaging, and keeps people wanting more is right on track for continued growth.
Creating a culture that draws people to you requires constant, persistent efforts and shows up in several ways, including special events and rituals unique to the business.
It’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day challenges of running a business and lose sight of the importance of the little things; the fun activities that are the cornerstone of a world-class experience.
Hang around the people in our Mastermind Group and you’ll be constantly reminded of the little things people are doing, and that you can do, to keep people wanting to come back time and time again.
Maybe our Mastermind group is for you. Only you know for sure and only you can make that decision. But nothing is stopping you from seeing if you qualify to be part of the group. Let’s have a conversation and get the details to you.
