Your Holiday Motivation Plan For The Next Two Weeks

The statistics are in favor of most Americans gaining weight over the next two weeks.

This helps propel the natural swell of people looking for a fitness program in about 2 weeks. But that’s a topic for another issue of this email.

This time of the year my fitness clients always seemed to want to talk about their meal plan for the holidays.

My answer surprised them.

I told them to eat everything because that is what the holidays are for. Why deny yourself your favorite Aunt’s special apple pie?

My clients were always surprised at my answer. This is not what they expected to hear, and they typically looked a bit disappointed.

After the surprise settled in, I elaborated with two caveats.

First, one day makes very little difference in the greater scheme of things. People don’t gain pounds of extra fat in one day. It’s literally impossible, as you know.

Second, portion size makes a huge difference. Keeping your portions small was my advice.

This is the time of year we can really get distracted with our business, too. Staying on track with so many distractions is tough.

Here is my counsel to my VIP clients.

First, take the holidays off and enjoy your family. That is the day of the holiday.

Next, do something to grow your business, every day except the holiday, every day from now through the first of the new year. The minimum time commitment should be 20 minutes every day.

Of course, you can do more, but that really depends on the size of your dream. The size of your dream will guide you on the amount of time you commit.

The important thing to know is that a 20-minute cycle of concentrated action every day will keep you focused on what’s important without demanding huge changes in your life.

Just 20 minutes a day over 12 days equals 4 hours and when that time is spent on building your business, instead of working in your business, you will make significant headway on your goals for the new year.

Most importantly, you will have developed a new habit to carry forward into the new year!

Just 20 minutes a day for 6 days a week for 50 weeks is 100 hours spent working on your business and is HUGE.

I only have a few appointment times left on my calendar for this year.

If you would like to talk about your situation, the time is yours for the asking. Get on my schedule for a free 30-minute conversation.

Remember, you only get results when you take immediate action on your ideas.
