Here’s Your Plan For New Year’s Day

Every year I write about the best way to start the New Year because it’s that important.

It’s a simple, but sure-fired way to get the year moving fast.

For some reason, the plan gets some resistance. I know the first time I offered it, my team really resisted my leadership, but only the first year.

It’s a simple plan and requires little explanation.

But first a question.

What day of the year are most people thinking about their fitness and their fitness goals?

A quick Google search will reveal many people search for events, particularly running events, to celebrate the new year and get started on their fitness goals.

The energy is high!!

So why do so many fitness centers remain closed and miss this golden opportunity?

For the life of me, I can’t really figure it out, but would guess it’s because it goes against the grain of how to celebrate the holiday.

We need to break away from that thinking.

New Year’s Day is the perfect day for a fitness center to be open and offering a free trial experience, for members and prospects alike, to showcase their program offerings.

I have found 10 am on New Year’s Day to be the ideal time.

The important thing is to plan the program now. Line up the teaching staff, the marketing plan, the simplified registration process, and the follow-through system.

Get everything in place and start promoting the event on Christmas Day. Keep promoting until the very end.

My most successful New Year’s Day event in my gym literally came together on New Year’s Eve! Literally.

The financial impact throughout the following year was huge.

Keep this a fun event and plan it out now.
