Ever had a song rattle through your head that just won’t stop?
Better question… Have you ever NOT had a song rattle through your head?
Me neither.
This classic by Gary DeCarlo is haunting me today as we approach the end of a very interesting two years.
I recently read how to stop this from repeating in my head, but you’ll have to read or scan below to find that answer.
I am absolutely certain the song is lodged in my brain because of the time of the year.
And I’m convinced I am not alone in this.
Saying goodbye to 2021 is important in order to make room for the New Year.
Here’s what I do and I recommend you do the same.
Look back over 2021 and write about it. Whatever comes to your mind, but try to sum it up. For me, I list some accomplishments and some themes. As you know I am a firm believer in writing things down so all this goes in my journal.
Now for the fun part: write down what you want to happen in 2022. Be as simple and concise, or as detailed and elaborate as you like. The important thing is to get it in writing.
That’s it. Don’t over think it.
If you want more details, or a more elaborate plan, this short video I took out of the archives may be helpful; Setting goals.
Remember to have fun with this process and don’t wait till Jan 1 to get it done.
Back to the song in my head.
I read that you can stop this song from repeating by focusing on the ending of the song.
Here goes! 🙂
