Are These Two “F-Words” In Your Marketing

As I travel the country I see obvious signs of the pandemic’s impact.

In some parts of the country, I still see a large number of people wearing masks.

In other parts, there are no signs of masks at all.

No one can doubt that we are feeling the financial impact with every item we put in our shopping carts, local or online.

Loneliness jumps out as a real problem. In fact, it has now been listed as a national health threat.

And once again, while this is a real problem, it’s also an opportunity.

People traditionally come to fitness programs of all sorts, primarily for improved health, wellness, and fitness.

Then along came the small boutique gym, a charge led by CrossFit, in ugly, often dirty, warehouses of all places.

Chrome and mirrors were out as something else was suddenly in vogue.

The tribe became as important as the effectiveness of the workouts. In fact, in some cases the workouts were terrible, still, the draw of the tribe kept people driving down the driveway.

The power of your tribe cannot be overstated. It’s Fun. It’s Connection. And it’s Family.

Smart marketers market the Fun and Family aspects of their businesses. This indirectly addresses the loneliness issue.

This weekend take a minute to look over your marketing from the perspective of a potential new customer. Do your words, pictures, and graphics look like your tribe is having fun?

People desperately need connection and putting two “F-Words,” Fun and Family (or Friends) in your marketing will revolutionize your business. See how I just added a third “F-word” right there?
