Do You Turn (Enough) People Away?

Could you move into a completely new town where you know no one and quickly build a successful fitness business?

Could you do it without a huge investment of money?

I actually can’t think of any business easier to take on this challenge than a fitness business. I have done it more than once, and one of our VIP clients is doing it right now.

His business is gaining momentum and he has noticed a trend. He is attracting his ideal clients (his rates are the highest in the area, by design), but his prospects need to trust him before they will write the large check to start on their new fitness journey.

He was recounting to me how his clients hired him only after several contacts with him. A phone conversation. reviewing material he sent them, looking at his Google reviews, checking out his website, seeing him in the community, reviewing his references and testimonials, and his politely persistent follow-up.

Ideal clients, the kind that willingly pays you a rate higher than any other trainers in your area will check you out thoroughly.

High-paying ideal clients, the kind that stays with you for a long time, are looking for someone they can trust to help them achieve their goals.

They don’t care about your athletic background, your degrees, your other clients or how much you can dead-lift.

Our job is to help them form an opinion that we are the best solution for them to help them with their goals.

The ways they check you about as listed above are contained in your marketing materials. Your marketing materials must present a consistent message that resonates with your ideal customer/client and only with your ideal customer/client.

Not everyone is your ideal client. Knowing who they are, empowers you to use your marketing material to repel potential clients who do not fit your ideal avatar.

Be deliberate in designing your marketing to keep them from wasting your time and sucking you dry.

You will feel better, build a better business and have more energy for those that really matter.

As I witness the explosion our VIP client is creating, we are constantly, re-visiting his ideal client avatar and refining his marketing to match their needs, goals, dreams, and desires.

Building a business this way is fun, profitable and rewarding on so many levels.

You only get results if you take action on your ideas. Do it now!
