Easily Build Your Business History

Last Sunday was rainy and gloomy, not my favorite weather for the weekend, or anytime for that matter.

I decided to do something different and I visited a museum of local history for Greenville, South Carolina.

I moved here four years ago and have learned a lot about the area. Mostly contemporary stuff and bits of history gleaned from conversations or a written article or two. Occasionally I have researched a topic I was curious about.

For example, I have learned why the downtown area is considered one of the top four downtown areas in this country. I have researched how it came to be, which is quite a success story. Most importantly, I can experience the vibrant downtown with a walk and feel the inspiration each time.

The museum took me to a different level of experience. It took me back in years. It showed me pictures, provided me with videos and exhibited actual artifacts.

I was intrigued, inspired and I gained a deeper understanding of the community.

I have always done the same for my fitness business.

Have you?

It’s very easy and you can usually find someone who loves to do this kind of thing and will gladly put it together for you.

Although I did not have an actual museum room, I used the concept in various ways.

In the lounge area, we had a photo album and several other items that people could touch, hold, examine and share with each other. Everything was designed to show our history, our growth, and our successes. Our beginning in a small garage, our first athletic games event featuring a tractor pull, our international ranking in a rowing challenge, and lots of pictures of member’s successes.

What is in your lounge area?

I highly recommend a couple of scrapbooks and one or two photo albums for starters. Then build from there.

This material serves two purposes. First, it’s ideal for potential new members, and second, it affirms your existing members that they made a great decision and are at a truly special place.

Try it and you’ll be amazed at the feedback you get from people.

Want more ideas like this that will separate you from the competition. Then it’s time to take advantage of our free report and make it happen now, before the end of the year.
