How Do You Track Your Marketing Spend

For many people, the Superbowl ads are one of the major attractions of the event.

Some are good, some are great, and some are terrible.

Some of the ads make us smile, and we remember them. Others are so bad we remember them. In the middle is a number of mediocre ads that disappear forever along with the millions of dollars of investment.

The effectiveness of each ad is carefully measured, as a lot is on the line.

The ones that rank the highest get played by the evaluators over and over again, doubling, and tripling the effectiveness of the ad spend.

Which ones do you remember?

At 6 Figure Trainers, we teach that every dollar spent on marketing and/or advertising must be tracked.

It’s really not hard, but it does take commitment and discipline.

Once we have the real numbers, we go in the direction of the proven results. In short, what do the numbers say?

The owner’s opinion does not matter. The opinion of the marketing team does not matter.

Some tactics will work well and some won’t. What worked last year may not work this year. People’s opinions change for a variety of reasons and we must stay on top of those changes.

Only the opinions of the prospects and paying customers matter and their preferences are apparent when we track the numbers.

The system can be as basic as a spreadsheet, or as complicated as you want to make it.

Just remember, these numbers are critical.

Remember, you only get results when you take immediate action on your ideas.
