In my travels, I am currently outside Sturgis, South Dakota.
Sturgis is known for the Motorcycle Rally that starts today. The Rally is a very big deal to this area as about 500,000 people come into town and participate in the numerous events.
As you can imagine, there are all kinds of motorcycles here and yesterday I saw one that emitted flames from the exhaust as the driver left the parking lot.
This was not a case of a malfunctioning engine, but rather an intended mode, with a soft yellow, lingering flame that was a real attention-getter. Everyone paid attention to this guy!
When growing a business you need to get people’s attention. Being a bit dramatic is a good thing.
People have so many distractions and their attention naturally goes to the thing that stands out.
