I am heading westward on my annual migration to winter sunshine.
The odometer says that I’m almost one-third of my way to sunny Arizona, and I’ve stopped for a while at a rest stop.
It’s warm and beautiful out, so the picnic table is doubling as my temporary desk.
While driving, something has been rattling around in my head, and I just have to share it with you
Here’s the thought, “It’s never too late to start over.”
It’s nothing original from me, just something that I’ve heard over and over. Probably the same for you.
As I look back on all my major accomplishments, they can all be traced to starting something over. It’s an undeniable theme.
The times where I stalled out, can also be traced back to a reluctance to start over again. Sometimes, I had already tried that, or the timing didn’t feel right, or I wanted to wait until I was more motivated.
Looking back they were simply excuses, pure and simple.
The pandemic has forced everyone to examine their lives more closely. Especially small business owners in the fitness space.
Some used the pandemic as a reason to get out of the business. Some should have gotten out earlier, but didn’t take action until forced into that corner. Others hung on for dear life and are still with us. A few actually used this same event to thrive in new ways.
They all started over, regardless of the circumstances and the chosen outcome, and yes, they chose their response and their outcome.
The 12 Days of Christmas Fitness Business Challenge is, at it’s roots, the opportunity to start over, and make a choice for a new future.
The challenges aren’t difficult and don’t require a lot of time. Individually, they look too simple to make much of a difference, and many people will dismiss them for that reason.
Collectively, they are powerful beyond measure. I have experienced this, and you will too, but only if you complete the challenge.
This is half-time! If you haven’t started them yet, I highly urge you to catch up, ASAP.
Here’s what we have covered so far:
- 1st Day of Christmas – Gift Certificate #1
- 2nd Day of Christmas – Google Reviews
- 3rd Day of Christmas – Flyers and where to post them
- 4th Day of Christmas – Effective class announcements
- 5th Day of Christmas – Social media posting
- 6th Day of Christmas – Team Picture (how to really stand apart from the competition.
