Who Is Your Ideal Customer

You may remember, a few weeks ago I volunteered to help with a local holiday meal, and my job was mashing potatoes.

There were three of us on this rather monumental task. We were all strangers at the beginning of our assignment, which only lasted about 20 minutes.

Yesterday I was hiking in the mountains and I came upon a couple on the trail.

The woman recognized me immediately and yelled out, “potato masher!”

I recognized her at the same moment and we both broke into laughter.

We connected, united by our very short history.

When it comes to marketing a business, nothing comes close to the effectiveness of the human connection.

All good marketing strategies and tactics lead to that connection.

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!

In the business world having an ideal customer is a priceless gem that you can build a marketing program around. This is exactly how I built a 6 figure income in three months.

Imagine 20 or even 100 more people similar in all characteristics to your ideal customer. Your life would be easier, would it not?

A good marketing plan has three distinct phases, and the last phase consists of working with your current members/clients.

Often overlooked in the urgency to get new business, this part of a marketing program is the most exciting and rewarding to me.
