Some neighbors had a campfire in the desert last night.
We were invited to join them, which I gladly accepted.
Firewood is hard to find in the desert, so I brought some from my stash, which I hold for just such an occasion.
Bringing a gift to a party is a gracious and gentlemanly, if I do say so myself, gesture.
An appropriate and thoughtful gift is always much appreciated.
But a couple of sticks of wood to a party seems odd at first glance.
In this case the gift checked all the boxes.
The key to marketing in business is knowing our prospects, and what’s important to them right now.
We need to bring to the table something of real value to them.
