A Nation of Cynics

This certainly comes as no surprise but we live in a nation of cynics.

We accept that our elected officials lie, cheat, steal, and even worse..

What makes you think you are perceived any differently by a stranger that walks into your business?

Stated another way, your prospects are unlikely to believe you, despite what your ego says.

Smart strategy in the small business world starts with knowing that everything in your marketing material and sales conversation will be questioned; even if you can get through the initial disbelief.

When we get to the proof stage, we use facts, figures, graphics, and the all-important testimonials and references.

But before we can use our proofs, we need to overcome the initial distrust.

To gain our first level of trust, we need to emotionally connect with our prospects in a believable and comfortable way.

And in today’s world, there is an ever-shrinking amount of time to do this. Think in terms of seconds rather than minutes.

How do you effectively and efficiently connect with your prospects?

  1. Know your ideal client avatar and focus your energy on them only.
  2. Perfect and practice your elevator speech.
  3. Understand your ideal prospect’s emotional make-up drivers.
  4. Lead your prospects to make win-win buying decisions.

These are the very things I teach, and you will become skilled in the Marketing and Mentoring Boot Camp Challenge starting on June 20.

The Challenge is about thriving in this very tough marketplace. It’s harder than ever to get more business in today’s world and you need an edge with your marketing plan.

Close your eyes and picture the feeling you’ll have celebrating on July 4th while knowing that you finally have a marketing plan in place.

Remember, you get results only if you take quick action on your ideas.
