Beware of shiny objects, aka, Shiny Object Danger!
From the time we are little children the shiny object gets our attention.
Earlier this week, I wrote about an opportunity that might be a shiny object, and I want to clarify my message. Go here to read yesterday’s email.
The opportunity the wedding business provides is certainly real, but it also might be a shiny object (i.e., distraction). It depends.
If you’re struggling for cash, this could be an opportunity to add some much needed cash.
If you look at the wedding industry as more than anything beyond a shiny object, and additional short term cash, be aware.
Shiny objects rarely lead to more long term profitability.
Just be aware of the realities of a shiny object and proceed accordingly.
