Is It Time For A Mini-Goal?

Helping people in real ways is the key to membership satisfaction and retention in a fitness business.

As I passed a television set last night, a short news clip on goal setting caught my attention. 

According to the reporter, apparently this is the time of year when many people are discouraged because they are not having success with goals they adopted a couple of weeks ago. 

Duh? – Really? 

They interviewed an expert who said in cases like this a mini goal is a direction to move in. For instance, set a new goal for just the next few weeks, 

Seems pretty obvious, doesn’t it? Of course it does, you are in the people business and you do this stuff all the time. 

As silly as this may seem (am I the only one?) it is a great reminder to check in with all of our people to see how they are doing on their resolutions. 

Your interest in them will mean more than you can imagine.
