Lying In The Mud And Other Life Lessons

Riding the Continental Divide Trail on a motorcycle is the experience of a lifetime.

I prepared for months. I made sure I had fresh tires. I invested in new luggage for off-road.

I added numerous accessories to my BMW motorcycle.

I read several ride reports.

I was ready, or so I thought.

The mud on the trail is really slick, and I dumped the bike more than once, always in the mud.

This is where the reality of the trail, and my preparations set in.

We have our businesses and we want to make a change.

Whatever the change is does not matter. It’s something new and unknown.

The first requirement for change is to know what you want, what you really want.

The second requirement is to seek wisdom and become a student.

We can read, research, and prepare in every way possible. This is a great start.

However, the fastest way to make our change is to engage the help of someone who has done what we want to do. In short, a mentor.

My nephew, who is on this trip with me, has become my mentor. There is a huge difference in our ages and our experience on an adventure trail. The age difference does not matter, he has so much to teach me, and I have so much to learn.

I seek his wisdom at every water crossing and every rock field. Without him, I would have headed to the nearest paved highway and missed all the beauty of the backcountry.

With his quidance, I have become a much better rider, and I am getting better at every water/mud crossing.

It’s the same in business. If you want to be successful, find someone who can lead the way.

Unlike my motorcycle adventure riding, I have decades of success in the small fitness business world. The probability that I can help you is very high, but we won’t know unless we discuss where you want to go.

In another week or so this trip will end, but the lessons will last a lifetime, because of my willingness to become a student and learn from a master.

If you would like to talk about how to explode your business now, get on my calendar and let’s talk. It’s free to you.

Remember, you only get results when you take immediate action on your ideas.
