What Happens In Your Business?

How many times have you been asked what you do at a party or a gathering of people you do not know?

If you’re like me, the answer is a lot.

Here are the top 3 responses I see gym owners and trainers say:

I work at or own XYZ gym.

I am a personal fitness trainer.

I teach group fitness classes.

I used to answer the same questions just like this, and I quickly learned that this was a huge mistake.

None of the above answers really answer the question of what you do. They describe a title or a role.

And the worst part is that you have lost control of the conversation.

Let me explain. All of the above answers put you into a category of titles and images already in the mind of the person you are talking to.

You will have much more success if you answer the question in a way that truly answers the question, and uniquely separates you from the competition.

By now, you’re wondering how you do that.

Here is the magic question you must answer: What happens in your Gym/Training Center?

This is a question to ask yourself first. What do other people say about what happens to them because of your business?

If they say I feel better, make new friends, and lose weight, then that is what happens at your business.

Then the answer to the party question is: I help people lose weight, feel better, and make new friends.

If they are interested they will ask you some questions.

If they are not interested, they will not ask questions and they have saved you a lot of time. Your business is not for everyone.

Now you have separated yourself from your competition and you are on your way to massive business growth. Ask my VIP clients and they will agree.
