Is It Time For The 11th Commandment?

Tracking critically important efforts on a daily basis keeps us on track for massive accomplishments.

If you could create the 11th commandment, what would it be?

For me, it would be, “Thou shall not kid thyself.”

Especially in business, I see all kinds of excuses for poor, or lack of, performance.

People want a different life or different results. They decide this is their new goal.

That is not the decision that will lead to success.

The real decision is to decide to do the work to achieve the goal and hold ourselves ruthlessly accountable.

Most people think if they just want it bad enough it will happen and they miss the work part.

The best way to avoid all of this is to set up a system to measure, track, and record your work output in hard numbers.

Numbers don’t lie. Make sure your system tracks your critical numbers daily. Start small and build a critical success habit.

Then you have avoided the trap of kidding yourself. Then you can’t help but be successful.

Remember, you only get results if you take immediate action on your ideas.
