We all do it.
We set amazing plans for ourselves on the first of January every year.
But where do we stand now, the middle of January?
The statistics are alarming. Most people have given up on their lofty goals that inspired them on the first.
They were really inspired in a genuine way.
Then life happened.
We set business goals, and then life happens.
We remind ourselves of our resolutions throughout the months of January. We get resolution fatigue and somewhere around February 1st, we forget the whole thing.
Whether it’s business or personal the same thing went wrong, our habits.
It happens to well over 90% of people.
The solution is to stick with the goal, A ND, most importantly, create a habit around the goal.
For instance, if the resolution was to get a better handle on our business finances, create a habit around this worthy goal. A habit would be like a 20 minute block of time every day in our calendar to open our books and work on our finances.
20 minutes is the magic number. Studies have proven that we can focus on most anything if we limit our focus time to 20 minutes.
Do this every day for a couple of weeks, and our new habit takes over as a natural part of our day. Do this every day for a few months, and the resolution is becoming a reality.
Teach our people how to use this technique and our entire herd has made progress, the word will spread and our business gains a reputation for delivering results and the growth can’t be stopped.
Our year starts looking better and better.
Try it, teach it, and change the world, one member at time!
Remember, you only get results if you take immediate action on your ideas!
